Just give it to one of your asian friends. I don't understand people who run computers without any protection....it's free for christ's sake. Try AVG or Avast.

Just asked the wife and she said they both didn't have any. =\ now I know it wasn't really my fault. But damn she is giving me hell. I told her it could have happened to u. Now I guess I just have to wait to get them repaired. Right?

Try the following. Download and run Microsoft security essentials and malwarebytes.

Microsoft should catch and kill everything. If not, run malware.

Why pay to get them repaired...? Back up all of your important files onto an external hard drive, format hard drive, reinstall windows, install antivirus, put important files back on, and voila.

Here is what you need to do.

                      1. Backup your important files to an external drive. USB drive or External Hard Drive will work. USB drives are really inexpensive now and they can hold a lot of data.

                      2. Next get your self an anti virus program like these guys are stating. You will want to check your installed programs first to make sure you do not have one already installed. Having two different Anti Virus programs on the same computer is a no no. I recommend some free ones like Microsoft Security Essentials, Avast, and Comodo Internet Security.

                      3. Download a cleaner type program. This will clear all of your temp files and Internet Cache. I recommend Ccleaner. You will want to run this for each user account, so log in as each user and run it.

                      4. Download a malware/spyware program. Again there are many free ones on the web. Also check the sticky in this forum for a list of programs to download. I recommend Malwarebytes or SuperAntiSpyware. Before running these programs. Disconnect them from the WIFI or Network Cable and reboot into safe mode. You can get into safe mode on any computer by hitting the F8 while it is booting up. If you see the Windows screen it did not work. After hitting F8 you will see a menu screen. Select the option "Safe Mode". Log in and run the Malware/Spyware scanner programs. Once they find the infection check off anything it finds and hit next. It will then reboot and you should be clear of all viruses.

You will want to do this on both computers. If you have more computers on your home network do it on those as well. It sounds like the virus has infected your network and is going from computer to computer. Most likely because you share files across the two computers. Or you visited the same websites on both computers.

Let me know if I can be of anymore help and let me know how it turns out.

                        Avast Free edition
                        Malwarebytes Free edition

Install and run each one in "Windows Safe Mode" Reboot and do two to three more times in regular mode rebooting between each.
Buy Malwarebytes, it covers you where no Anti-Virus seems to go.
