Reseller hosting?
For the past few years I've had friend/associate of mine provide hosting for my client's web sites. Things are getting changed around, and I will need to get a new hosting solution for new clients.
I know a lot of web developers/designers host their client's web sites on their own hosting account, but that is something I want to avoid, as I want my clients to be able to make changes to their accounts and such without needing to go through me by at least having access to their own cPanel. Something that is completely "private label" is also important.
Seems like a reseller hosting account might be a good idea. The issue I'm running into now is finding a good one. Given the nature of the market, there doesn't seem to be very many places on the internet where you can get "reviews" for hosting providers without a ton of bias. I know there are a lot of web guys lurking about here and I've found Calgunners to be a trustworthy bunch.
The service needs to be quality, but not overly-expensive. I've had experience dealing with cheap hosting providers in the past and was unimpressed with the performance (at times WAY too slow). In order for me to be willing to host client websites on it, it needs to be at least as good as something I would use myself - services like GoDaddy, HostGator, etc., definitely don't cut it.
