I'm doing some editing in After Effects of a car. I'm trying to get a light trail effect from the rear tail lights but I am stumped... Anyone know what to do? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

How long is the clip? Is the camera moving or steady? I can think of a couple of ways to do this but it depends on the answer to the first two questions.My Guns:
