Anyone with a ASUS Transformer Tablet has a nice surprise this morning....

This morning they finally started rolling out the ICS 4.0 update! Download yours now! The menus got a nice upgrade, not sure what is really different about it though.

No disrespect, but if you don't know what the changes are, then why are you encouraging people to update? Is the tablet in its existing state pretty bad and this is a long awaited (you did say "finally") update?

Hopefully it makes the tablet better as I'm sure the update is supposed to do, but if something ain't broke, there isn't a huge need to try and "fix" it.

Again, I don't know much about the Asus tablet, but I'm as geeky as they come with regards to tech.

I bought the Transformer Prime 2 weeks ago for my filmmaking and it's an excellent tablet. It came with that Android version already on it. Make sure you get those firmware updates though. There's some kind of continuing problem with Wifi and GPS, according to the Transformer geeks.

On the mobile/tablet platform, Android all the way.

I have a SL101 and its plague with crappy browser issues. Lock ups. Program restarts. Freezing and etc.

Rooted the damn thing and loaded up another rom. Solved all issues. I'll give this "update" a try. but seriously with all the bloatware thats on the tablet. I'd rather go custom...

Some people are saying that a hacked Nook Color is the way to go.

Heard about it last night, thought about staying up until 12:01AM and trying to see if it would upgrade, but ended up dozing off...so I did it before I went to work at 7AM this morning.

Did not take very long to install, but I noticed that the tablet is very responsive than when it was Honeycomb. I turned on 2D acceleration through the GPU, but I noticed that this option might not be ready for prime time as their are the occasional screen artifacts and rendering issues...that's why it's a advanced and unsupported option

The Transformer is a great tab. I had one, but ended up trading it for an Eotech because I just didn't use it enough.

I've got ICS on my Galaxy Nexus phone. Great OS, I'm really happy with it. Much better than Android 2.2 on my old Incredible.

Got one. Nook Tablet in fact. Not bad, but the narrow 7" screen is kind of a pain.

If you want a cheap tablet that has little power perhaps. Current cell phones have more power than that thing.
