**spoliers....well I think****
Well, here is my take. I restarted playing ME 1 from the beginning and wanted to catch anything that Bioware sneakily placed into the games but people may not have picked up on.
When you first get to the Citidel in ME 1 you can run around the old version of the embassy area. There is a statue of a Mass Effect relay, if you go and check it out one of the squad members asks if you hear a odd humming noise. Same line Vega uses when you are in the new normandy in the shuttle bay. So,
In short, I think BioWare Indoctrinated the players

every single import i have has full loyalty and all squad surviving the suicide mission. if you did not like the game play in ME3 its probably because you are missing out on a ton of stuff by not having all your squad survive the suicide mission. my advice is to clear o up about 50 hours or so and create a new ME1 character. you dont have to stick to paragon or renegade style thanks to a handy glitch that you can use to fill out both bars. just dont kill NPC though, they show up in the other 2 games and help out in the final battle with the reapers.
