Syncing Two iPhones from the Same Computer

My wife and I sync our iPhones from the same computer. The problem is, whenever we do we end up getting each others apps on our respective phones (her apps on my phone, mine on hers.)

Is there a way to prevent this? Am I doing something wrong?

Creat another user profile for your wife.

Go to Control Panel then User Accounts then Create new account/user

Don't feel bad this drove me nuts for a few weeks since my daughter also uses my computer and her ipod and iphone.

I sync my iphone 4 my wife 3G and my daughter iPod on the same computer and our apps never mix. We have the different itunes account on each idevice.

Check if her iphone is using your itunes account on her idevice.

Make sure that your iPhones have different names in iTunes. Then you just need to make sure that you specify for each phone which apps you want and which you don't.

My wife and I share an account, but sync on different computers. Also be careful that you don't have the whole icloud sharing turned on for both or you can seriously jack up your contacts, etc. And yes, I speak from experience. My wife deleted all my work contacts and it synced with the cloud and deleted it all from mine. That sucked.

We sync my wife's phone and three iPods on the same computer. We use the same iTunes account so we only by an app once.

My wife tried the iCloud sync for our calenders. She wasn't very happy with my 1,500 contacts showing up in her phone. I guess I'm lucky she didn't delete them like PCPerks' wife.

There's also a checkbox that's called something like "install new apps automatically". If you don't want her automatically picking up that new ballistics calculator uncheck it.
