    my Aol cannot find Calguns.net

First visit here, I'm a very low tech guy. Plan on looking around this Technology site.

Any way, my AOL will not load Calguns.net and I was haveing withdrawly pains yesterday. Was waiting for some "PMs".

What can I do? And since I'm here how can I speed-up (clean-up) my older computer?

    Many Many Thanks K.T.

I'm surprised people still use AOL.

My aol finds it, but it is slow. I down loaded firefox. It takes some getting used to, not as user friendly as aol, but faster.

do you use AOL dialup internet? It's probably a DNS lookup issue, try just bookmarking 216.218.212.179, or you can use another dns like OPEN dns, or googles DNS.

Hi, Many Thanks, nice to know someone's out there!!!

Dell Inspiron 9200 5+ yrs old, still going. Windows XP Service pak 3, 7200 rpm hard drive 60 MB (hope I have that correct). Slow processer, loads real slow. Run defrag and disc clean daily.

Have no idea who the DSL provider is , will ask my wife. Instead of AOL what might I try???

The wife and I are kinda real low tech.

              Thanks for the help!

If you already have DSL service you can ditch AOL. Your basically paying for 2 internet services.

All you need is your DSL service and an Internet browser like Internet Exlorer, Firefox, Goggle Chrome and you are good to go on internet surfing.
