    CCTV (.dvr)

I have some videos that I want to view but they will not open with any program. They are .dvr videos from a CCTV camera system.

Google did not give me a good response on how to view them.

I tried to use two different programs to change the format but that did not work either.

Please help I need to view these videos ASAP.

gom plays a lot of off brand videos, otherwise, you need to get the player for the cctv system
find out the manufacturer or at least the camera model, and usually you can d/l the player from their websites

The cameras are all different but tomorrow I will take a look at the recorders and see if theres a specific manufacture on them that can lead me to the right web site.

I know some use a proprietary file format when storing. A conversion utility from the MFR of the devices might have software on their site that will let you strip what you need.

Maybe contact the people who sold the devices/setup to you, and see if they can shed some light on your issue.

I bought generic cameras that drop standard files on a Slackware Linux box via FTP, and this works well.

          This look right: http://www.supercircuits.com/Digital-Video-Recorders/ ?

I spent some time on the super circuits web site and finally emailed the customer support hopefully they will have some more info about where to download the DVR viewer.
