I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy! -
I thought I was the only one having issues. i'm using tapatalk on my Android and it's running good sometimes. when I try to use the Web browser, it sucks hard monkey bolas.

Okay, got a handle on the issue, it is DNS propagation.
The IP address of Calguns was changed in the move; however the TTL was set to 5 minutes - therefore any ISP that honors TTL would have switched within 5 mins to the new IP address.
For DNS servers that ignore TTL - they will use whatever the local sysadmins have set.
It seems like the cure is time, in the mean time try http://216.218.212.179/calgunforum/index.phpsigpic NRA Benefactor Life Member / CRPA Life Member / SAF Life Member

Sorry, but this site is really screwed up even though it's been 40+ hours since the move. DNS still hasn't propagated through TWC. Even when I can get on the site using the actual IP address most pages take 2-3 minutes to load. FF 9.x and IE 8(i think) are both effected.
Seems like many must be having this same issue, because there's noticeably less than the usual amount of new posts since I last logged on 24 hours ago.sigpic

It's been recommended by some to flush your DNS, I did and it did not help, as I mentioned in another thread on this topic.
Also: Disclaimer: there are three post that I attempted to post on a couple of different threads---they went poof---have no idea where they are. They didn't wind up at the end of the threads---so if they show up and seem unrelated to the topic, they are probably my renegade posts.

Calguns server is NOT in Italy!
Ignore any current geolocation regarding Italy. Probably the previous users of the calguns block of IP addresses was related to Italy and the info is in the process of being switched over. Geolocation via IP address tends to be less than perfect.
Go here, hit the checkbox on the left side so it only shows, "Hurricane Electric Fremont 2", enter the IP address 216.218.212.179 on the right side, select "traceroute", then, "probe".
1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms dcabdrt1.geovario.com (65.19.176.74)
2 9 ms 3 ms 3 ms 216.218.212.179
Note one hop (Fremont router -> server) inside he.net's Fremont 2 facility
I don't know where calgun / geovario server(s) was before, but he.net is one of the finest, best connected places on the planet to run a server out of.
Comcast folks, like I am at home, get to he.net/geovario/calguns via Globalcrossing (AKA L3), since Comcast appears to not peer directly with he.net. DNS issues are likely related to stale info at Concast and or L3.Comment
