Maybe I got that wrong but I could have sworn I read that it was going to have a monthly fee. It will have DRM that is always on though (requires you to be online) and that is another deal breaker. I do not own Battlefield 3 for the same reason.

meh, its so easy to get online pretty much everywhere now. i'm not too concerned about it, certainly not concerned enough to not buy a game because of it. BF3, for example, is pretty much MP anyway, and i had planned to coop my way through D3 as well.
i wont be buying D3 because its rubbish, not because of the online requirement.

Battlefield 3 is multiplayer only(with no LAN support)... of course you need to be online.
Diablo 3 happens to be multiplayer that allows you to play by yourself. The problem isn't the DRM they're worried about since they have CD keys anyway. The problem was the rampant cheating in D1 and D2.Comment

LOL, my bad. That sorry excuse for a single player campaign is technically a single player campaign still I guess.
(but seriously, it might as well be non-existent since it's just a generic forgettable storyline with some linear levels and a silly on-rails shooter fighter jet stage)Comment
