dishnetwork with charter high speed internet?

i currently have dishnetwork and both rg6 cables running into the central box are being used. if i sign up for charter high speed internet can that be diplexed/duplexed on the same physical rg6 cable?

Don't think you can. The frequencies used for Charters internet services are also used for Dish's video service. Another rg6 cable would be needed. You might be able to free up one of your cables current satellite equipment only requires one cable.

Not a chance, I've worked for dish and tried it, will kill the internet speed and can give you intermittent satellite.

i was checking the outside box. both rg6 cables are connected to the dish. i am only using two satellite receivers. can the two lines from the dish be diplexed over one rg6 cable therefore freeing up the other for cable high speed internet?

What model receiver do you have all dual tuners can be fed with one cable and use of a dish pro plus lnbf and "there" splitters or separators. And if you have a dual tuner do you have a second tv and how is it fed

i have the vip 722 and vip 222 receivers. for each receiver i see a single rg6 cable coming from the wall then a separator (which i assume is a diplexer) then two short rg6 cables from the diplexer to to the receiver. i am not using the second tv ouput.

i am just not sure at the dish end if the 2 satellite outputs from the dish can be diplexed from the outside junction box to the main junction box upstairs over a single rg6 cable since i am running two receivers.

i did call dishnetwork technical support and they said it is no problem but they are also the ones who told me in a prior conversation that running the dish and charter high speed signals on the same rg6 cable is kosher.

Not with dish. Especially if the stb in question also provides service to other rooms in the house. A new line will need to be run. Directv uses a "swim" now which allows them to only need one coax feed.

It cannot be done................new cables will have to be run for the internet.

Is there a reason a new cable can't be run?
