    Vista to Win7

    Hi guys
is there a cheap vista to Win7 upgrade disc somewhere for sale? I am looking to upgrade my work laptop from vista to Window 7 OS. I don't really need to but it would be nice cause some of my panel programs do not like Vista and I have to use my old Dell. Tired of carrying three laptops for work. Any of you guys know a place that sells upgrade discs cheap? i got a disc from Toshiba when i bought the computer but it was corrupt. i called them and they said sorry they do not offer the upgrade discs anymore

I am trying to avoid having to buy a win7 OS discs and then have to do a complete wipe and reinstall.
    Thanks
    Rob

This is the cheapest I could find from a reputable company. I don't know which version of 7 you're looking for, but I'll assume Home Premium should be sufficient.
Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade (32 and 64 Bit)

TigerDirect has the upgrade for 119$
    Newegg has it for 109$.

The clean install version is only 99$ on Amazon.

    Hope this helps.

not sure if you need 32 or 64 bit but maybe you know a student? cuz student upgrade is 65 bucks

i also found this site. where you can LEGALLY down a copy 64 or 86 bit BUT you will need your own key.

Edit: you probably want to do a custom install. this will move the old version into a folder and u can remove the other crap that Vista contains. and always back up before doing anything.

Are you upgrading or doing a fresh install? If you just do the upgrade you can only do same version of Vista to Win 7. For example Vista home pre to Win 7 home pre. There is a good chance all the little quirks that extisted with Vista will still be on Win 7. Only way to my knowledge to have no Vista quirks is to do fresh install of Win 7
