Serious question: MW3 or BF3 for PC?

I'm looking at getting either one or the other, and I'm leaning toward BF3. I have BFBC, BFBC2, MW, and MW2 for the X360, but I don't play them enough because it's about impossible to get any time in front of the big TV when everyone wants to watch cable.

The gameplay is about the same on both, but I suck at trying to use a controller after using a mouse and keyboard on Combat Arms and other MMOFPS games online.

Help me make an informed decision, guys.

Well, if you have had access to BFBC 1&3 and MW and MW2, then you should have an idea of which gameplay type you like.

Me personally, I've played the COD/MW series to death and it's pretty much the same game every year, with more or less annoying changes to it with regards to kill streaks or perks.

So for me, the BF series is the way to go as it comes out less often and as a result I am less sick of it. Throw in the bigger maps, the vehicles and the slightly less run and gun type gameplay, and I much prefer BF.

However, it's really a matter of personal preference and only YOU can really know which game type you like better.

BF3: Objectives based.

Which one sounds more fun?

If you have MW2, then you pretty much already have MW3 minus some maps and perks.

BF3 just feels more robust and funner to play them MW. especially with friends.

Depends on your playstyle...
If you like fast run & gun on small maps = COD:MW3.
If you like co-operative group play to complete objectives on large maps = BF3.


IMO...
Single-player story = BF3 < COD:MW3
Multi-player online = BF3 > COD:MW3

If you ever played Battlefield 2142 then you will enjoy BF3. Its objective/team based. You WILL conquer games and dominate if you had a good team going. But that's the problem. Everyone wants to be lone wolf and screw it all up.
If you enjoyed MW2, then you will like MW3. You can just jump in and kill!
Bad thing about BF3, EA can never get their servers right. This has always been their problem. I love the game, but can't stand the servers being down all the time. I am a working father. If you are like me, and need to wait for everyone to go to sleep just to have your stress relief. You will be upset the servers are usually down at midnight for system updates. This can be annoying when you just want to get in a few games before you go to bed.
MW3, that's my drug now.I just turn it on and kill kill kill... (someone else mentioned that) but on occasion you gotta deal with some really good snipers. But for a busy guy like myself, I can jump in, kill, get off, and do what I gotta do.
These are in my opinions and experience. Ill even sell my BF3 if you want haha

I'd definitely recommend Battlefield 3. Teamwork makes that game fun.

Asking if you should choose MW3 of BF3 is like asking if you should go with BSD or Linux, Emacs or Vi. It will not end well.

BF3 in my opinion, play on a good team based server (Tacticalgamer) with Teamspeak and you will have a great time.

This would also open you more PC based gaming, Armed Assault 2 for example which is great for large open battles. Plus if you buy Battlefield 2 (really cheap now) and download Project Reality mod, that's another great team based modification.

Just look for the videos on YouTube for tacticalgamer, Armed Assault 2, and project reality.

Well the reason i chose MW3 over BF3 was the whole kill, kill, kill routine. My son is 3 now and he throws a fit when Im on the PC too long. He craves attention, so i log on kill some noobs then log off.
