If you go with Sony, Kenwood, Pioneer, Alpine.....you can't go wrong. I like ordering from Crutchfield because they include the kit and wiring you need. They also send you instructions on how to install it as well as the speakers for your car for free. I have had my current Pioneer deck for about three years now without a single problem.Originally posted by barrageThat's because Excelsior threads are like toilet bowls. I went with a JVC since at the time it was one of the only decks out their that had built in HD Radio. They pretty much all support it, but usually it's an additional unit you have to buy then plug into the head unit. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. Still works perfectly after three years.
+1 for Crutchfield BTW. Amazing customer service. I actually got a installation walkthrough via phone by the service rep that had assembled my order (deck, speakers, additional components required for my vehicle). He knew my vehicle and hardware, and was able to quickly answer all my questions when I hit a roadblock on the self install. Plus their website is pretty good about prompting you to get any additional parts accessories that may be needed, like the cover plate for your vehicle when downsizing from that enormous factory unit to a standard size deck. They will also send vehicle specific install instructions on how to pull panels/dash and the wiring diagram for your vehicle.sigpic NRA LIFE MEMBERComment

I change decks like clothes, and I hate Sony with a passion, I rather have Pyle than Sony. Thats how much I hate themComment

Pioneer premier class is awesome. Not so much their basic classes.Comment

Skip the Sony. I had to pull mine and send it in in 10 months, wait one and put it back. The faceplate flashes and blinks like a Vegas strip club, and I can only listen to the radio with the faceplate lowered, no aux or USB. The controls were made for looks and had functions assigned afterwards.Doesn't sound any better than anything else and it pisses me off whenever I look at it.Comment
