    How do I ...

Connect a Mac laptop to a PC monitor?

I'm going to have to bring my Powerbook in and connect it to a PC monitor to complete a project. Most of my connectors are for Macs and am wondering if any of them will be compatible. As far as I can tell, the Dell monitor has one open connector input thingee, maybe 13 pins wide.

The office has wi-fi but the prospect of staring at government forms for hours on a 15-inch screen just gives me eyestrain just thinking about it.

NVM. I'll be doing the project at home after all.

Its just standard DVI... so if you need DSUB just get the DVI->VGA adaptor.... UNLESS its the older Mac weird *** proprietary DVI thing that also carried power over the connection.

It all depends on what type of output your mac has. If you take a picture I'll let you know which connectors those are.

I've got a 2011 Macbook Pro so I usually go Thunderbolt (Mini-Display) to HDMI.
You think you know, but you have no idea.

          Thanks, guys!

I'll post a picture of the back of my 2005 PB tomorrow.

Anyway the client didn't call or email back, and it wasn't until I was on Hwy 24, lane sharing in the fast lane, amid a sea of red lights, that I remembered I'd left the file behind. lol
