    Skyrim tips

I've come up with a few Skyrim tips for you Skyrim players out there.

Raise your Smithing and Enchantment skills early. It's super easy to do and makes you almost unlimited money.

Getting Smithing to 100 is simple. Create Iron daggers. They are cheap to make and will get you to Smithing 100 very fast.

Raising Enchanting isn't as fast, but it's also simple.
Disenchant everything magical that you find that you do not use. Keep doing this.
Enchant all of those iron daggers you made while Smithing. Use all of the junk soul stones you've been picking up but not using. When picking which enchantment to use, select the one that makes the dagger most valuable. Turn Undead is a good one.

The best part is the enchanted daggers are worth a considerable amount of money. Learn where the blacksmith shops and weapon/Armor vendors are in each city and bounce to each of them with your daggers. Sell them for good money, and pick up as much apparel with bonuses to Smithing and Alchemy as you can.

Lastly, you can make a TON of money from Alchemy using potions. This is what I did. Buy a house (one you can furnish with both an Alchemy table and Enchantment table). On the Alchemy stand is a leather pouch for storage. Store ALL of your alchemy components in the pouch so you are not burdened by the weight of them. (All of the alchemy comps I was carrying around everywhere weighed 120 pounds!)

Learn where the alchemy shops in the different cities are and buy all of the comps you need for your potions. Sell your potions to buy the comps, and get all of the vendors money.

Creating Invisibility, Paralysis and Regeneration potions will raise your Alchemy skill the fastest, and they sell for a ton of gold, so concentrate on those.

Below is my list of the comps you need for:

    Regenerate Magicka
    Regenerate Health
    Restore Health
    Restore Magicka
    Fortify Smithing
    Fortify Magicka
    Fortify Health
    Fortify Enchanting
    Fortify Barter
    Invisibility

If these are the only potions you make you can stop picking up any ingredients but these:

    Bee
    Bear Claws
    Blisterwort
    Blue Butterfly Wing
    Blue Dartwing
    Blue Mountain Flower
    Briar Heart

    Dwarven Oil
    Ectoplasm
    Elves Ear
    Eye of Sabre Cat
    Fire Salts
    Fly Amanita
    Frost Salts
    Garlic
    Giant Lichen
    Giant's Toe
    Glowing Mushroom
    Grass Pod
    Hagraven Claw
    Hanging Moss
    Histcarp
    Ice Wraith Teeth
    Human Flesh
    Imp Stool
    Jazbay Grapes
    Juniper Berries

Nice post but I'm too busy assassinating fools with the dark brotherhood.

smiting and/or enchanting are OP and make the game easy.

im 25 in full obsideon armor i think? the one after orcish and i can tune weapons to the epic level and its just silly. the obsideon weapon at epic was so good i went back to a blades sword i fond (im partial to katana's) and made that epic instead, now i only 1 shot "normal" enemies, the thugs and leaders take a few.

I hear what you are saying, but things will get harder. I think you can up the difficulty level as well.

Give your slave girl a weapon that captures souls and make her hold all the empty soul stones. It will automatically fill the soul stones when she fights and I don't think you ever have to recharge her weapon (or it does it automatically). Keeps you with a steady supply of filled soul stones.

Do you have to pick something and stick with it or is there room enough to do everything? Ie, if I get 100 in smithing and enchanting, does that make it harder to get 100 in anything else? So far the only thing I see where you have to pick and choose is in the perk trees, so you can get what you want. Alchemy sounds like its a no brainer for my wood elf archer/thief as poisons will be super useful to me.

BTW, this game rules so hard. I haven't played these games since daggerfall/elder scrolls II era and now I doubt I will ever finish red dead redemption since I spend all my time playing Skyrim. Esp since it seems like you really need to play it at least twice once Imperial and once Stormcloak.

DO NOT update to 1.2, it breaks magic/poison resistance and can cause dragons to fly backwards. do not install 1.2, just play off line. bring that slave girl everywhere with you, she makes fighting large groups of bad guys much easier. also get married, your wife will open a store and bring in 100 gold a day for you.

You get one perk point per level so there is a lot of room to diversify your perks into lots of different areas, and you have way more perk points than you need to specialize in only one or two areas. The only thing stopping you from doing everything with one character is each level you have to choose to raise Magika, Health or Stamina by 10 points. If you play a mage you are going to have extremely low health and stamina should you decide to make a serious shift to a melee character.

Alchemy lets you make fantastic health, magic and stamina restore and regeneration potions. It seems to be most useful for creating potions that raise your smithing and alchemy abilities for a short time. That will maximize your weapon and armor improvement skills.

1.3 released today to fix these issues.

Skyrim, the only place where getting married adds to your account? lol....
...but their exists also in the human heart a depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak to attempt to lower the powerful to their own level, and reduces men to prefer equality in slavery to inequality with freedom.

is my slave girl the house person I got when I was named Thane of that first town? Or is there an actual slave girl you save or something? I haven't dealt with hirelings or companions yet as mostly they just get in my way in tunnels. It is handy if they have a torch though.
