MS Outlook - Auto delete "Accepted" invites?

I send 25-200 meeting invites per week through Outlook and would like to know if there is a way to automatically delete the replies that simply say "accepted". Sometimes people decline or reply with a message and those shouldn't be deleted, and I'd still like to be able to track people's response by opening the invite later if needed. How can this be done?

I tried getting creative with setting a complicated mail rule and checked MS Help, but am still stuck. I'm using '03, but may upgrade to the new one soon. Others on my team use a mix of both versions, and would likely appreciate the help as well.

I have newer version of Office - 2010

here is a link, i don't know if it will work for 2003. It uses a special set of rules defined by forms for an application, in this case the outlook calendar. I use similar rules in 2010.

Same here. I use te following rule in outlook

      1. Check all new messages when they arrive.
-with "accepted" in the subject line
      2. Move to "Invitation Repository" and Mark as Read.

Rather than inadvertently delete something I need, I just automove out of my inbox.

Same as Jdave.. I would just use a rule. however, you might get other emails that might have the same word. maybe you can use "accepted:" (usually a colon I think when people respond in the subject line).

I would create a folder under your inbox and use that for the rules where to move the messages. you can easily sort by icon to see if there was anything moved to this folder that is not a calendar icon (like a email with the word accepted). this way, you don't miss anything. just empty it out if they're all calendar items (cntl-a, delete I'm more a keyboard shortcut person where I can use it).

this process should be compliant with all versions down to outlook 2000. no fancy scripts nothing. i send and receive lots of meeting invites. not quite your volume anymore. but yeah, i've easily deleted other stuff by mistake.

In the 2010 version of Outlook, the application forms uses the possible responses to an Outlook meeting request, don't need to look for a word in the subject.

6.From the Application Forms list, select the particular response form you wish to automatically process. The standard calendaring options are:
          accept meeting
          decline meeting
          Tentative

          Good luck!
