Interesting... Adobe Flash reports movie not loaded.

    I don't think it's importing correctly.

          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fctvBjcv0hM

copy everthing after the '=' and post in the "youtube" bar here --> [ YOUTUBE]place the info here. [/YOUTUBE ].
          do not copy the '='!

i had the outer brackets spaced out so you could see which bar i am talking about, they should be immediately next to the 'youtube' word in order to work.

            Try this:

            HTML Code:
            [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JNuYF_bYBQ[/youtube]
HTML tags before and after Youtube tags above; no parsing.

Why does it change youtube to youtu.be

And why does it remove some of the close brackets "]" and open Brackets "["

The answer to these questions may have something to do with it. Also in my ignorance of the code I am trying to undo the changes I think I see and still fail to render.

Your suggestion turns into the below nonsense when saved.

              http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JNuYF_bYBQ">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JNuYF_bYBQ" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">

All the other language is simply added in without prompting.

                  PHP Code:
                  [YOUTUBE]9JNuYF_bYBQ[/YOUTUBE
Copy and paste the above. You will see it works.

                    Bob,

                    Thanks, that did it.

This is the first vBulletin forum I've been on that doesn't have to use the entire address!

                    Thanks again!

As you can see we can "quote" others who can render. But when we try to do the same thing it botches it up.

                        [/QUOTE]

Err, it worked lol. It just wants to prove me wrong.

Apparently I can quote or cut and paste code from others but when I put it in myself for the first time it adds dialogue that does not work.

If the above works I figured it out. There is no need for the http addy or anything except the vid code itself in between the youtube brackets that the button does. When you copy the imbed code from youtube it adds that part but you must edit it out. Which is probably why they purposely mispell yout.ube in the embed link.

If that's what ya'll have been saying, thanks for the help I get it.
