    I hate Dish network

I have had dish network since June. I went from having ATT uverse which was the best. Anyhow dish is complete crap. The on demand rarely works, payper view rarely works, and it always records records the wrong shows or doesn't record when it's supposed to. Does anyone know if I complain enough can I get out of my contract which I still have like 2 1/2 years left. I'm tired of my wife complaining and blameing me for picking charter tv or direct tv. And before someone says "if you loved uverse why did you switch to dish". I moved and uverse isn't offered where I live.

If you think you hate Dish now, wait til you call customer disservice and try to get out of your contract. I moved a few years back and the place I was moving to wasn't set up for Dish and the landlord didn't want the Dish on the house. I got hosed on that deal.

I called them multiple times, calming explaining why I moving (nightmare roommate) and each time I got 'sorry, nothing we can do'. So I asked for the supervisor, still no help. Each time the conversation ended with me screaming profanities after being on the phone for an hour+. I don't normally lose it but these bastards really fricking pissed me off. Repeatedly. My standard response to anyone offering Dish, be it at my house or at the mall, is 'go f&*# yourself'. And if they have any questions, I explain why I hate their company, and by extension, them personally.

The kicker is the landlord of the house I moved from wanted them to keep the Dish up for the next tenant but they wouldn't. Poor tech had to haul his *** up to the top of a giant 2 story house and hang his life out on the line to pull this thing down. Stupid pricks.

And if you do call them, tell them to 'f&#$-ing die' from me.

I got rid of them 4 years ago. It took years to get them the bugs out of their installation, which was sloppy and ugly, and a year to get them to take back a poorly designed and buggy DVR. I went to Direct TV and they were better but their performance in bad weather was spotty. I'm on FiOS now and couldn't be happier.

Dish is ok if you're going to be like permanently at your house for the length of your contract. Otherwise, i hate them because everything is either ala carte or they'll nickel and dime you with fees.

I agree, U-Verse is nice, I have them currently!

I have Comcast and it fits me well! My daughter looks for the On Demand feature for her shows and if she's cool that's okay with me!

I've had Dish, Comcast and now have DirectTV. The only service I have ever had that I didn't hate with a passion was Netflix!

Dish Network are a bunch of theives, I had them for a few months and was yold that I would get HBO and Showtime for free, and for 3 months I had to pay cause each time I called they told me it would kick in the following month, so I got fed up and paid to cancel the contract, and they wanted to charge me 120 to ship back the boxes, they had no one to pivk em up and no store to drop thrm off so I had no choice. So they never sent the boxes to ship which I was promised and they said I took too long and deducted 1100 dollars from my account for the equipment, I eventually got it reimbursed but it took thrm 2 weeks to do it, they ruined my life for those few months, I highly recommend that no one ever goes with this service. Please tell them to %+@# themselves and die from me too

I had the same problems. Day one after our contract was over we called and ended it. They had the balls to tell me i had to disconnect the dish from my roof. It stayed up there for a few months then i realized one day i had the perfect target bolted to my roof so i took it off and its swiss cheese right now.

My grandparents hate it. They're spare room where my grandfather watches sports mainly is a complete joke. Since dish only does one box the remote doesn't register it 90% of the time. they said the problem was the mirror in the room and their fix to the problem was to place a bed sheet over the mirror.

Last thing that kills me is that don't contract work out to people who can't speak english. This guy who did my grandparents house who was suppose to give them a quick run through how it helped handed me the instructions with the remote then mumbled his best way to asking me to give him great reviews on a follow up/check up phone call.

                    I think in a year i went through 3 boxes and 2 re-wirings.

                    Get out asap lol

Wow..... I guess misery loves company cause I don't feel as bad now as I did before. I had dish years ago and never had any problems with them. So i thought it was an easy choice when I was deciding who to go with dish. Things sure have changed in the 6 years since I had them before. I'm gonna call and argue with them tommorow and hopefully I'll get out of the contract. I wonder if I the only one who misses the simplististness of the bunny ears and 6 fuzzy channels for free.
