Greetings fellow cgn'ers,
I cant seem to get netflix working on my ps3, though it works fine on my other sony blu ray player hooked up to my wifi, as well as both pc's and both iphones. Tried opening ports 80 and 443 on my router settings, but no go. Got a "geek" from geek squad coming on wednesday anyway to fine tune my network stuff (new router and airport express, he was gonna install them, but i already did, just gonna have him optimize their performance), but I wanted to try and learn something, I can usually figure most computer stuff out by trying. Anyone ever have a problem with their ps3 netflix app like that? Already tried troubleshooting with netflix and with sony ps3 tech support, but they dont get into the networking details. Sony tech told me to open up those ports, i did through my browser and advanced config screen, but still get "unable to load and click to retry" message.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
