    anybody know how to install a 2nd OS on ubuntu in virtualbox

    does anyone know how to install a second OS in a virtual box I got mac snow leopard on cd.

    does anyone know how to do it?

    Making new Virtual machines is easy, just follow the "new" wizard; however, It's my understanding that OSX can have issues on Non-MAC hardware.

      Here are the instructions:



      Basically you click on new virtual machine and follow the prompts. If your not sure what some of the values you should use just accept the defaults. At some point you will be need the new OS cd or iso image to install from.

        the problem I am having

        I have download virtual box and every thing already that not the problem
        installing mac OS is

        I have a Mac OS DMG, I what to convert that to an ISO because that is the only way virtual box will download the OS

        any body know how to convert Mac OS Retail version to an ISO?

          I dual boot Win 7 and Ubuntu 11.04 so I don't have to run VirtualBox.

            I hit a bit of a snag
            ok I found out that on ubuntu
            you have to convert DMG to IMG the create an ISO
            here is the link were I found it


            this is really silly but I cant seem to find the filename to put into this command code
            dmg2img /path/to/example.dmg /path/to/example.img

            so I can initiate the process where do I find the filename?
            I have the install cd in and click on it and have a hard time finding it
