Caspian border was the perfect size. anyone else like how fast the vehicles are? they seem so fast that they are hard to control. I wonder if you can still ghost ride people. I have not tried it yet.

I didn't find them hard to control. They took a little getting used to as they are a little different from the BC2 vehicles. You can catch a LOT of air in those things. I was having fun just going full speed into berms and jumping out at the last second to see how far they would fly. Pretty far. Apparently they can't be used to roadkill though... Never got to fly anything because people were rabid about racing to the aircraft with other vehicles and TKing to get people out of their way.

Yeah they are fast and fun to drive. I got a couple of roadkills with them. I was only able to get a couple of choppers to fly cause everyone was waiting for the planes instead of playing the damn game. But its just beta so they were just having fun flying something different.

I do like how they get disabled first instead of just blowing up and killing you.

Caspian Border is the right size for 64 players. What's making people think its too big is because nobody is actually utilizing the jeeps, and transports since everyone is making the runway the parking lot the whole round.

I think the helicopters are way better to fly in BF3 than BC2, much higher of a ceiling so your not in the crosshairs of every tank in the map. Seems that for now at least the planes are not too much of a worry to ground troops.

Bullet drop in this game is realistic its crazy. I wish we had range indicators on the capture points like BFBC2 to help with calculating bullet drop. Sniping is really not that big of a concern either right now since you literally have to hit people THREE times with the Mk11 Mod 0 from any distance it seems unless its a headshot.

I've noticed glitches like my whole screen going dark blue when in-game, I have to hit Esc to get to the menu and then again to go back in game and get rid of it. For some reason the pistols animation, sound, damage seem to be off sometimes when pulling it out and firing.. its like the first click sometimes seems to register and sometimes not?? I've also seen the hit boxes being off where I shoot someone in the head at a close distance and they stay alive and I get a hit marker.

other than that I like it so far, we'll see how polished it becomes at launch.

Caspian is AWESOME! And it looks so good. I especially like Forest (charlie) with all the light shafts coming in through the trees.

size is good, constant action with a full 64 player server.

i like the bullet drop, but the damage falloff is too big. it took me 20+ rounds with the .50 on the Abrams to kill a dude a long way away.

jets are WAY TOO SLOW. watching jets bank around is comical. my buddies and i were joking that jeeps would win in a race the jets are so find slow.

Thats just how BF is. This is something that has plagued the BF games since the beginning... In BF2142 I used to empty full mags with the heavy machine gun into guys backs at about 5-10 paces, getting the full hit circle indicator and everything and they don't die... but somehow are able to turn around and 1 shot me with a pistol... Could be lag or something but it would to that on LAN games too, so................

maybe but if this were real war and as a commander you could achieve the same ratio on an open battlefield they would call you the greatest general of all time.

OP- the graphics and mechanics are not full blast at all on the beta.
it was what, 1 GB? the real game is gonna be many times that.

whats funny (or not) is all the peps with pc's that are barely running the game now; they are going to be full screewed when it comes out because their systems are so underpowered for the game with all the real stuff put into it.

u sound like one of them console noobs who say "I like console because it never lags and I dont have to upgrade anything". Well yea, if u turn the PC game down in settings to look like a console game, it won't lag either. So even those with ok PC's will play it fine, just not on top settings.

nope, running at the minimum specs, my pc was running worse than the console version beta. on console i was consistently in the top half if not top 5 of each game, while on my pc i was bottom half and sometimes bottom 5 due to getting only 20fps avg and getting frame skips. and this was running everything on low or off.
