    SYNC By Microsoft...

Does anybody have it or know much about it?

I bought my wife a 2012 Ford Fusion this past Sunday and the SYNC is hard as heck to figure out. I have figured out how to make phone calls and that's about it. I can't figure out the darn turn by turn or any of the other features.

Anybody have one and have you mastered it yet? If so, please tell.

I have it on my 2008 Focus. Only M$ product I have truly liked.

It takes time. Give it a couple weeks & work it up feature by feature.

When you get stuck say help or list options.

Go to www.syncmyride.com Tons of stuff there and when you sign up you put your vin in and it lets you know exactly what your car can do. This is where you can set up addresses for your navigation too instead of speaking frequently used ones.

As for turn by turn, make sure your phone is connected via blue tooth, click on sync and say services. It will connect you and you can get to nav from there. It works pretty slick.

I just got off of the chat box with Microsoft technician...probably "Peggy" and He got me dialed in. Now I have the Phone and turn-by-turn figured out...I wonder what else it will do.

Been to the Syncmyride website...that's where I got myself messed up. I had the wrong phone number set as the active number.

You can do all kinds of stuff with it. Especially in services, they got news, weather, traffic, all kinds of crap.
It works good with an MP3 player too when it comes to searching for songs and such.
It calls 911 for you if you get in a wreck too.

On a side note, I did try dialing 911 to on it to report an accident and couldn't get it to work. I tried emergency, police, fire and direct dial 911.... guess I'll have to figure that out.

Yeah the mp3 is going to be pretty cool too. This thing has the 12 speaker Sony stereo speaker system in it. For a factory system it rocks pretty good.

The salesman had a USB stick and he was showing the music features off and all he had was Madonna...then I had to call him out on his music choice for us and I just guessed on the way he had it organized. He had white, black and brown USB devices on his keychain. So I mused that they were for white, black and Brown clients. Sure enough the black one had Rap and all kinds of gangster rap and bumpity bump music. The white one was Madonna, heavy metal and country and the Brown one was. well you guessed it.All spanish. The salesman was pretty cool guy.

Thats funny. I do use a memory stick in my focus.... cheaper than an I pod and much less likely to be stolen.
