    Update: CAN'T edit CGF Wiki!

Dec. 16, 2011: New problem, go to post #8

I tried to make a minor edit of the CGF Wiki's Political Analysis page, just to clean up wording and quotation marks, but got this as a response when I clicked "Submit":

    Database error
A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:

    (SQL query hidden)

from within function "SearchMySQL4::update". MySQL returned error "126: Incorrect key file for table './cgnfoun_wiki/wiki_searchindex.MYI'; try to repair it (mysql.sbr301.geovario.com)".
    I was signed in.

I'm going to be upgrading mediawiki in the next week or so; let's see if this resolves then.

    Thanks for the heads up.

I noticed that my edit got applied, but when I tried to do some further editing, it happened again.

its a database corruption, repairing the tables, should fix it. upgrading might fix it as well. i would run
        repair table wiki_searchindex
before you upgrade and after just to be sure.

lol, sorry that was for wildhawker, or anyone else that has access to the sql server. its a server side issue, not client side.

Just a quick note that anyone seeing the error should hang tight as we've had our programmers wrapping up some important new features before rolling back around to the Wiki upgrade and repairing tables.

Okay, now how do I edit the wiki? The "Edit" links seem to have all disappeared!
