Convert wireless RJ11 type headset to USB? or 3.5mm?

stupid company now wants us all to move to using office communicator for meeting calls. we're already paying for voip and i doubt we use traditional telco fees, but i think they want to get rid of party lines. i probably won't get approved for a wireless usb headset.

is there a way to have something like below? not sure this is proprietary for skype but i have an nice jabra gn9120 wireless headset i'd like to use with 3.5mm or usb for laptop. can't seem to find a 'sure' solution but this picture below from skype shows some kind of promise. i read can't possibly go from rj11 to 3.5mm due to electrical current differences?

it looks like that device converts your phone to a USB sound device. It should work fine. The link below says it works with x-lite which is just a sip client, plus other software.
