want to port landline number to a VoIP service I can access via cellphone

what options are there for porting landline numbers to VoIP service that I can access on my cellphone?

I understand that you can't port numbers into Skype.

I already have a Google Voice number and understand that you can port in a number into GV (has to be a cell number first, but you can port the landline number to a pre-paid cell and then re-port it to GV), but if I do that, that ported number becomes my primary GV number and I can pay $10? to keep my original GV number as a secondary number, but I would want the ported number to be the secondary.

or would I be better porting the number to a service provider like callcentric and then forwarding the calls to my cellphone number or GV number? It would cost $1.95 per month and 15 cents a minute for that. I don't need to call out on the ported number, just need to be able to get the calls to me. total number of minutes would be minimal, so I don't care that it would cost 15 cents a minute.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

I vote for the second option - I have done this with several phone numbers I keep for business reasons and it's worked fine for years. The vendor I use is Teliax.com but in principle it should work with any VOIP setup that allows porting in.

that thread looked to be more of a "how can I use a google voice number with a POTS device". I'm trying to do the reverse.
