    Upgrading Macbook Pro to SSD

I have an 80GB Intel SSD from my PC I want to move to my 2007 Non unibody MBPro as I will be upgrading to 160 Intel SSD on my PC (to store OS,BF3, and Adobe Creative Suite, etc)

Was wondering what would be the easiest way to go about
    1. Migrating all the data from my current 80GB SSD to the 160GB SSD.
    2. Format the 80GB SSD after I confirm successful boot from 160GB
    3. Use Superduper to transfer MBPRo HDD into 80GB SSD

How do I migrate the data from the MBPro HDD into the 80GB SSD? I do have a Synology NAS if that helps any.

    Thanks in advance

Do you have a SATA to Firewire or USB apparatus of some sort?

If so, swap the drives, then install a fresh copy of OS X on the new drive. When you start up from the fresh install the first time it will ask you if you want to transfer information. Say yes.

Connect the old drive with your SATA to USB/Firewire device.

If you're connecting the old drive via SATA to USB, choose the "From another volume on this Mac" option. Use the "Transfer from another Mac" option for firewire.

The setup assistant should recognize the old drive and allow you to select what you want transfered, e.g. user accounts, apps, etc.

Hit continue and let it do it's thing. You can clone over most of your apps and data and still have a fresh OS this way.

Not entirely the cleanest, but just about the simplest.
