What droid apps do you use?

Finally upgraded from my blackberry storm and got a g'zone commando, what apps do you use? Mainly looking for free ones, and in particular an "app killer" to help me preserve battery life.

Oh, and avoid app killers because they often kill more battery than they save.

I haven't paid for anything yet but those three always keep me entertained.
