Any Calguns mobile updates in the future?

Are any updates planned for the "iphone" version of calguns?? may be posting pictures from phones or being able to reply to a specific posts? multi-quote?

    Anything at all?

Not sure about an update (and you may already know this,) but you can switch to the "normal version" on your iPhone and just view and interact with the site normally. Just login to Calguns and scroll all the way to the bottom, you'll see the "normal version" button. I have unlimited bandwith, so I use this option on my iPhone and iPad - I guess it could potentially eat your bandwidth if that is concern though.

Yes I do know about the normal version but navigating the site on a four inch screen is a no go. I seriously wish they update the mobile site. I have tried tapatalk but I had used board express. The problem with these is that they don't load as fast as a mobile site. I wish the owner of this site would at least think about updating the site.

Ability to quote/edit would be nice. really the only thing I wish iphone version had.

not gonna pay $3 for tapatalk.

^^^Yes true. Even that would be enough. New skin wouldn't hurt either. Edit: forgot to add multi-quota and edit. Board express allows me to do some of these things but the performance is not all that.

Can you point out examples of a good mobile forum ? Personally I use the mobile forum site on the iPhone and the regular site on my iPad. I've heard that tapatalk is great, but I havent tried it yet. I like how stripped down the mobile site is, just let's you read and reply to posts fast!

The new 4x version of Vbulletin has a really nice mobile version, but you still can't do everything. Most mobile versions that are basically a webpage aren't going to have all the features of a full blown browser a computer has.

Vbulletin has a new feature where you can make apps for your site, but I believe its $99.00 a month. Not worth it at all.

Taptalk is nice, but crashes all the time on my iPad. And it still can't multi-quote.

OP: if you think using the mobile skin on your iPhone is hard, just try it on an old Blackberry. It's barely usable at all and locks up the phone tighter than a nun on Easter.

The basic is ok, I'm just asking for a few more features that's all.

blackberrys are trash. They are a dying platform, just like Symbian is dying everyday.

Tapatalk is the best I've found so far. Having Edit would be nice.

I don't think VB 4 has their mobile working yet do they? Last I saw it was going to be rolled out in 4.1.6
