That is a rip off, just like anything Intel or Apple made.

The Intel 320 is the next generation of X-25 (IIRC). Got one, love it. Best if used with SATA 3.

When researching my SSD, I kept reading about some shady stuff from OCZ. Apparently their 35nm SSD chips were awesome, then all of the sudden they went to 25nm chips, which had some performance and reliability issues.

To quote myself from resident-shooter's poll.

I think you're good with the RAID, but if you're going from a single disk to a SSD, it's well worth it. I picked up a Intel 320 120gb SSD and over-provisioned down to 100gb. It's fantastic. Windows loads in half the time. I run my Win7, programs, and select games from the SSD, but keep data and the rest of the games on the 1TB disk. I think my limiting factor is actually SATA 2, not the SSD.

I hear the Intel 510's are badass.

Every SSD on the market right now uses 25nm NAND chips, the previous generation of SSDs mosly used 34nm and 32nm NAND chips. The problem people had was that OCZ made no announcement that they switched to 25nm NAND from 34nm NAND (they had no choice, that's all the fabs were making at the time). However, they changed the labeling to make it easy to see what size chips the drive you were buying used and replaced any drive that was sold with 25nm NAND on request with one that had 34nm NAND chips. Nothing shady here at all. See this thread.

For those customers that have already purchased a 64Gbit part and wish to move to a 32 Gbit die based drive solution, OCZ will offer a program in which customers can trade in their drive and receive the more expensive 32 Gbit die‐based drives. OCZ will ship the replacement drive once the original drive is received. If you are interested in an exchange please contact an OCZ customer service representative and we will be happy to assist you.
If you still do not trust OCZ you can always go with Corsair, their Force series drives are pretty much the same thing as the OCZ Vertex line of drives. They're usually cheaper too.

            Buy the Axiom units.

Way cheaper than Intel with good customer service. Insight carries them.
