            no, it doesn't sync gmail contacts, but will offer gmail contacts as people to invite or add to your circles. you can view google+ contacts in your gmail under "other contacts"

                                                    It took me till sometime in 2010 to get fb. I do love my android phone, but I dont know about google+.....

                                                    Will admit, havent looked into it though either....
