    domain registration

What's a good place to register a domain name?

Already have a hosting account established, just need a place that offers a good price for the domain and doesn't screw around with outrageous transfer fees etc.

    Thanks!

GoDaddy.com and Domain.com have good prices and make it easy to manage your domain from their site.

GoDaddy.com. I have many dozens of domains through them, cheap, easy, no problem and they give discount coupons regularly for renewals, hosting, etc. I can even post some here if needed depending on the size of your purchase.

Network Solutions is so... 90's. They used to be the over priced mob version as they were one of the first and people didn't know there we alternatives. While others were charging $8 for a domain they were trying to ask $50. That has surely changed of course, but still.. once I went GD many, many years ago I never looked back. I also direct all of my clients to GD.

godaddy.com, sometimes they offer free new domain registration on buying several domains.

godaddy.com, despite the fact that they sponsor Danica

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Go daddy, network solutions. If you Go Daddy, be prepared for tons of spam offers.

Did you check your host? They should offer domain names too.

I use 1AND1.COM. Domain registration is perhaps not quite as cheap as godaddy but if you use them for hosting, one domain registration is included free.

                        Very true.
But not too bad considering the spam offers are kinda nice. They usually are for 20-30 % off or alike.
Network solutions is expensive in comparison.
