When PS3 came out, its graphics were relatively good, but by now its hardware is indeed behind. I really really really hope that DICE will change its mind about 64 player multiplayer. We could do that in BF2142. Time to step up to 128+ players on a gigantic map

Imagine Karkand + Frostbite 2 + 128 players + jets.... It would be like Stalingrad !!!!

        BF3 E3 reveal in 5 minutes: http://battlefieldo.com/

I was very unimpressed with MW3...not that I was expecting much. I did like the switch to magnifier, that's about it =/ If the BF3 video is super good, I'll go pre-order afterwards

Quote: The first multiplayer footage from Battlefield 3 is here! Played in Rush mode on the E3 map "Operation Métro", this trailer shows actual gameplay between the U.S. Marine Corps and Russian Spetsnaz forces in and around the centre of Paris. Trailer Quote: The power of DICE's new Frostbite...

Already looks as though BF3 is going to DESTROY MW3, at least in quality. They still probably won't make as many sales as COD, simple because of the frat boys and the teenagers, but my god just LOOK at the quality of the BF3 in game footage - content, graphics, and sound.... Makes COD look like a freaking Nintendo title.

Hope the CGN clan gets their quad core processors and descent graphics cards by then. If they think their computers are running slow FPS with BFBC2, they will have another thing comming to them trying to get BF3 to look like that. The Destruction, Rendering and Scaling will have huge draws of power to any system. It will be interesting to see the FPS with my 580GTX.

I've got my quad core and will have my 560GTX soon, but I'm more worried about my PSU. Nvidia recommends at least a 500W PSU with this GPU, and I've got a 610, however with my OCed CPU, and with a game that requires as much power as possible from a GPU/CPU like BF3, I'm afraid my PSU won't put out enough power to supply those chips. I guess we'll have to see, hopefully I won't need to get a new PSU.

Rumor is that the FB2.0 will allow BF3 to run at about the same level as BC2.

My PC runs an 8800GT on PCI1.0 motherboard and I have little trouble playing BC2. It I want to upgrade it’s a new computer.

What's your resolution/graphics settings, and what's your framerate?

Actually, just looked at Nvidia's website, and the power different from my 9800GTX+ to a 560GTX is only 31W more, for 3x the performance...I think I'll be alright.

However it does not effect my game play

You should check. What processor? When I had my Q6600 quad core clocked at 2.4GHz I was getting around 30-40 FPS on all low settings at 1680x1050 with my 9800GTX+, and it was absolutely terrible.
