    Got my Evga 580 GTX SC

    And it was a blast taking it apart!! I like my computers to be a little wet.

    There is just something about getting something brand new and taking it apart before you even try it. And it is better to put it all back together with zero leaks.

    Now I cannot wait until Battlefield 3 comes out!!!!!!

    Sweet card man! And I love how you go right into it..

    That is an awesome rig... Man I miss modding out my computer like that..

    I remember my rig before I went to water cooling consisted of 8 vortec tornado fans.. Water cooling was much quieter lolol..

    Whats the canister bubbling for? Or is that something on the surface of the material?

    So what is cooled on this?
    The GPU, CPU, then is that the north bridge? Cooling your HD too?

    Hahaha I remember my best friend calling me up at 2am. He told me he woke up to pops and sizzling and smoke. He had been downloading something while asleep and a connection burst. Wasn't funny then but we laugh now..

      Thanks. That is the reservoir that is full of bubbles. I just put her together so it will tie a few hours for the bubbles to work their way out.

      My loop goes; triple rad to CPU to single rad to motherboard to res to dual pumps to double rad to gpu back to triple rad. It's a long loop but hs plenty of rads and fans to keep her cool and quite in there.

      Yeah I have heard stories about the water-cooling gone wrong. So far so good but knocking on wood still

        You really should test your components before you go voiding the warranty, what would you have done if it was DOA?

              I just remembered, EVGA allows you to put on your own thermal solution without voiding the warranty. You just have to put the original one back on before you ship it back.

              Warranty Terms
              Product condition:

              Removal and or Defacing of Serial/Part number sticker(s) on ANY EVGA products WILL void ALL warranties.
              All products must be returned in the originally sold condition. Products received by EVGA for replacement that include 3rd-party attachments (CPU Heatsink Backplate, Memory chip heatsinks, etc) will be returned to the address on the package.
              There must be no physical damage to any component including the PCB, GPU/chipset, CPU Socket, or damage that is caused by:
              inadequate or improper repairs carried out by any person or entity which is not authorized by the manufacturer to perform warranty services on its behalf;
              negligence, accidents, modifications, defective installation or misuse and use of inappropriate spare parts;
              fire, immersion in liquid, lightning, earthquake, inadequate ventilation, Acts of God, incorrect application of main voltage howsoever arising, or any other cause beyond the control of EVGA;
              any other goods which can be used with the Product, but are not the Product itself;
              consumable or wearing items requiring replacement as part of normal service, including (but not limited to) dry cells and rechargeable batteries.
              The product must be returned to EVGA in the original factory configuration and condition. All aftermarket modification must be reversed before sending in the product for replacement.
              So no worries there.

                  That case looks good for cable management. My case doesn't have a single cable management feature, I just stuffed all the excess cords into the open HD slots, lol.

                    Yeah it has plenty of room in the back of it to hide all the cables. The biggest pain in the a** was sleeving each individual wire on the PSU and all those d*mn fans. Show us a pic of your spaghetti case, like you said it doesn't matter how it looks cause you still kill my a** in BFBC2.

                      Here's my h4x machine. I think I'm going to run it with an open case from now on though. Even though it looks more tidy and appropriate closed up, I think running it open will give me about 2 degrees cooler operation.

                      Just ghetto rigged an extra case fan onto the front of the heat spreader to mimic a push/pull effect.

                        Looks like the inside of my old Alienware desktop, not bad cause your stickers cover it up.

                        Do you have any open bays in the front of your system, this way you can place an 80mm fan if you have two open bays. This will give you some good flow and maybe not have to open up the side of your case.

                        Also Dremel is your friend to add a top fan to help the hot air escape. You can put a grill over it to finish it off.

                        Here is a pic of an 80mm fron fan:

                        Here is some dremel work I did on one of my side panels with the grill covering the hole:

                        Yeah, I love taking apart GPU's and cutting up my brand new cases as well. You have to custom build your computer just like you custom build your weapons right.

                        Since the Obsidian is too big to place anywhere else but the floor, I decided to make it a home.

                          Adding a fan to the front of the case would probably help, but right now all of my cables are stuffed into the front where I have those extra open slots.

                              But I cleaned mine out two days ago D:

                              Cable management is sort of a no go for me. There are no holes behind the mobo or anywhere else I can route the cables through. Cable management wasn't something I thought of when I chose my case.
