Some of the things we are looking for:
- MUST have at LEAST 3+ years experience with Ruby on Rails, XHTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and Javascript (in particular, jQuery and "Ajax")
- Must have similar levels of experience in mySQL, Postgres, or another similar RDBMS system.
- Proven ability to create beautiful applications that are cross-browser compatible.
- Extremely creative problem solver; nothing stops you from figuring out how to make something work.
- Comfortable representing the role of software development in key meetings with business executives, stakeholders & customers.
- Flexible and adaptable; able to manage shifting priorities as projects evolve
- MUST be self-directed and self-motivated. Able to see projects through to completion and beyond.
10,000 bonus points given to the candidate who:
- Comes from a SaaS background
- Has worked in a startup environment before
- Possesses Linux admin skills such as cron, apt, shell scripting, compiling source code, editing Apache / MySQL config files, etc
- Understands version control & deployment (git, capistrano, etc)
- Is business savvy
