    Big Thumbs up to Dell

I'm SHOCKED by Dell's customer service. I'm sure we've all read horror stories about how terrible they are...

On Monday my laptop battery died 11 months after I purchased the laptop.

DELL let me know that my battery is under warranty and they'd be shipping it out. Also, they are sending me a new keyboard (I lost my F1 key).

Received my battery and new keyboard yesterday (3 days later!). The DELL case manager called me to make sure I received everything and if I needed help installing the hardware. Good Job DELL. Color me surprised.

I found on Dell stuff I bought from them directly they have been great. If it was a Dell I bought from best buy it was bad.

This was my only encounter with them, although I do own two DELL laptops.

Interestingly, the laptop in this post was bought from Best Buy.

You know you can buy single replacements keys online for like 2 cents and a dollar shipping right?

OEMs tend to be good at shipping out replacement parts. It is cheaper than having you send it in, and it helps them clear out old inventory.
