    Need help jailbreaking iPhone...

I just got a new iPhone yesterday from verizon. The version on it is 4.2.7

Could someone please post a link on instructions to jailbreak my iPhone?

Also, is here any risks involved in jail breaking. I assume I can always set the phone back to it's original configuration in iTunes, right?

    Thank you.

    Google is your friend.

I had a 2g iPhone and it was very easy to jail break. If it is the newest firmware there may not be a jail break for it yet. I have moved on to an Android phone.

I jail broke my girlfriends iPhone a couple of months ago. I used the greenpois0n hack. Make sure the last o is really a zero when typing it in.

Make sure your version OS is hackable and back up your iPhone before you start it. With a jailbroken phone you can still back up your original iPhone stuff through itunes.

From what I have heard from friends you don't want to update OS with a jailbroken phone. It will revert back to original OS with new version. So basically when a new OS version comes out you want to make sure it can be jailbroken first.

        Redsn0w.us is the current jailbreak.

There are a lot of tutorials out there.

I used Blackrain, ran the program and it took two minutes IIRC. Blackrain is out-dated though. But yes, if you update with itunes it will undo the jailbreak.
