    Netbook Ram help?

    alright techies,

    These are the specs on my netbook, http://www.crucial.com/store/listpar...eries)&Cat=RAM now I need to get 2GB DDR3 Laptop Memory what the hell is the difference between 10600 and 8500?

    also super mega internets if its for sale on Amazon...

    any and all help is appreciated, especially since im computer illiterate.

    hmmm kinda odd.

    those numbers are the "speed" of the memory. as usual, the higher the number the faster.

    you can mix and match, but the entire system will be dragged down to the slowest memory on the system.

    so if you bought the faster one and your OEM memory was the slower one, then the overall speed would be the slower one.

    normally, i would say get the slower one, but heck... both are priced the same... get the faster one. duh... lol...

    btw, stick with crucial. if it doesnt work, they can accept returns. where as if you bought from places like ebay, well...

      I thought they were speeds, but I just didnt know if the Netbooks OS will only recognize X amount of the speed so why get the faster one... if that makes sense,

      But since the NB is only expandable It shouldn't be a problem to just go with the faster one right?

      and ill go with crucial then, I wanted to go with Amazon because of the credit I have
