this PSN down situation got me thinking

how much of a financial hit is sony taking during the PSN down time? people are not buying those $25 cards to purchase online content with, the PSN market place to completely off line so no money is being spent there and people are not signing up for that stupid PlayStation+ thing(it may sound like i am being a xbox fanboy, but i am not. i love my PlayStation, i just think that PlayStation + is stupid) . i would imagine that in store sales of PS3 games would dip slightly during this down time also. if you want the latest update from sony here it is, they thank you for your patience during this difficult time and ask you to give them more time and patience.

the only reason i play my xbox more than ps3 is because xbl is so much more gamer friendly. i don't mind paying money for online gaming. playstation network sucks IMO. whenever a multi-platform game comes out i find myself asking which one would play better online, and i end up buying it for xbox.

I was so bummed when I couldn't sign on and I thought my PS3 was broke as I was watching Netflix the night before. My netflix still works but in all Honesty Netflix sucks get some new movies already! Hope PSN gets back online soon I amd excited about the new SOCOM 4.I would have already bought it if the PSN wasn't down.

Just keep trying to login and cancel the error box. After 2-3 times you'll be in netflix and ready to watch.

Well, I'm all COD'd out so that part doesn't bother me. I do miss D/Ling demos.

It's free so I can't complain. PR nightmare for Sony though. Also gotta wonder what happened to the juggernaut noob that took on and beat Nintendo, Sega and then Nintendo and MS in two previous console generations.

just act like you are logging on. it will tell you the network is down but netflix will still work.

Yeah now they are talking identity theft. WTG Sony. Lose millions pursuing a schmuck who only wanted 15 minutes of fame after hacking the PS3. You could've shut it down with a quick, cheap firmware update.
