I picked up two WD640Gb drives and set them up in RAID1 to backup my pictures and music a few months back. Ive noticed in the last month or two that they started lagging when accessing files, copying files, deleting files, and even viewing files. I checked the drives for errors and the log showed it only removed some indexing files. After the drives were scanned for errors, the lag seemed to go away for a while. I noticed last night that when I was playing some mp3's off the drive, my cursor was even momentarily freezing.
Any of you pc gurus know what the problem might be?
