    Just to confirm, this is a storage drive only? you said you have your OS on a SSD?

    can you have both the new drive and the scsi drive connected concurrently to your system? re-create the partition layout on the new drive (sounds like this part is done) then manually drag and drop everything from one drive to the other. Disconnect the old drive, and then change the drive letter associations on the new drive partitions to their old drive counterparts?

    no software required that way, and the end result is essentially the same.

    you could use robocopy if you run into issues with file names and such

      I think so too. It is a powerful tool, worth the cost (and I don't buy software willy nilly).

      Since storage is so cheap, get a couple more drives and back that stuff up 2x. Using Acronis, of course. Its automatic feature is very nice.

          yes, that's it, however, i get data acsess errors on 2 of the drives when i tried that... could just be my controler dying. I will try it again
