    Just got my new iPhone4

Upgraded from a 3G. It is MUCH faster. That is all.

A new one (possibly called the iPhone 5, with possibly all new hardware & look) will be out in June.

This far into the year, I would've just waited a couple more months for the newer version.

Eh, I doubt it will be a FULL hardware revision only one year after the iPhone 4 was released. I suspect much more of a spec bump sometime late summer.

The true iPhone 5 will be ~2 years after the iPhone 4 was released so all the fanboys can get one without canceling their current 2 year AT&T contracts.

Although for the record, could never go back to my 3G iPhone after getting the 4.

That's why I said "possibly" since there's no way to know for sure unless somebody leaks a legit review (doubtful) or when Apple announces it at WWDC

But yes, the 4 is a huge improvement over the 3G (my wife still uses a 3G, and it's slower than molasses)

Yeah, I did that. Had my iPhone 3G until November and then went to the Droid X. The hardware is certainly faster (two years newer tech), the screen is larger, it has video, and all that great stuff... and, yet, I'm not too happy with it.

I've owned one iPod and then the iPhone 3G. I'm not an Apple fanboi. I gotta tell you, though, the interface on the iPhone is excellent and sensible. The interface on my version of Android is often not intuitive and sometimes infuriatingly stupid. I actually need to use Google to get tips on how to do stuff on this phone that should be straight forward.

The Droid X also has a known issue (since July) where it messes with certain WiFi setups; WiFi stops working on the phone and needs to be power cycled, and sometimes it messes with the wireless router and that needs to be power cycled. Turning off the 802.11n capability on the router helped for a couple of months, but the problems have come back again. Motorola doesn't seem interested in fixing this known issue because they're too busy with their next gerneration of phones. Why bother supporting the products that they've already released??

The Android Marketplace seems to be made up of the scraps and remnants that were left over when developers finished their iPhone apps. There are so many versions of Android phones that not all apps work well on all phones. With the super-wide screen on my phone, some apps get cut off in the short direction. Really? My favorite on the iPhone, Pocket God, crashes Android phones. Angry Birds has advertisements that cover the game score. Tiny Wings isn't even available for Android.

I tasted the Android Kool-Aid, and I don't like it. I'll switch back to Apple's product if the iPhone 5 isn't a complete disaster.

I'm thinking that I screwed myself by owning an iPhone in the first place. If I had never had one, I'd probably be pointing out how great Android is. I do wonder how many of the Android fanbois have actually owned an iPhone...

              That is all.

I still have a 3G phone running 4.0 OS. It constantly crashes.

I'm holding out for the next generation to be released in June.
