      Hitachi definitely turned around IBM's incredibly bad Deskstar (Deathstar!) PC hard drive division, they'd be a good addition to WD. Not sure if it would affect prices, HDDs are getting less and less expensive anyways.

      I'll still take a Seagate over a WD.
