Any experiences (good or bad) with Virgin Mobile or Boost Mobile?

I had Virgin Mobile back in August. My phone was randomly turned off a little after a month. I called them for the next week 10+ times a day. I never got a call through, it would tell me to call later because the lines were busy. I sent an email about the situation, they said they'd respond in less than 24 hours. I continued with life. Got an email 28 days later saying that I had claimed a warranty and my new phone had been shipped to (insert address I've never heard of before here.) They told me I needed to ship my phone back in order to activate my new phone. I emailed them back telling them I never claimed warranty. They emailed me back again over 20 days later asking again for my old phone. I was never able to get a phone call through. I tried to get it sorted out for a month since I just dropped about 230$ on the blackberry from them, but had to give up.
I'm currently with Boost, because I like their shrinkage plan. Service is great in San Diego. All my texts have gone through since day one, with Virgin the first 3 weeks I'd only receive and send about 1/5 of the texts. They both use the same towers though since they're both owned by sprint. Which is one reason I'm scared to ever have to deal with Boost's customer service. Only place my phone doesn't work is in the middle of the desert when I'm riding my dirt bike, and in my eyes that's a huge plus.sigpic -

I've been playing with their LG Optimus android phone for a week or two now. Very impressed with it, much better service coverage than on my AT&T iPhone 4 and the Price is right, too. The phone is running about $129 right now and $25/mo is 300 minutes and unlimited data prepaid (no contract). I have it hooked up with my Google Voice account and was very happy with how well it integrated into the phone for both dialing and texting.
It's not the latest and greatest Android phone, and I do find the touchscreen is a bit small for typing on when compared to my iPhone. But it's certainly more than adequate.
Oh yeah, Wifi tethering is simple on it.

I have been using Virgin Mobile for a couple of years now. So far my experience with customer service has been fair. Everytime I needed help and contacted customer service my problem was solved. Currently I'm on their $25.00/month no contract plan, using Samsung Intercept (android phone). Sometimes I am dropped from their network which turns my phone into a useless brick. Overall I am satified with their service, except when im dropped.Comment

I have both Boost and VM. I use boost and my wife and kids use the VM. They have the android phones 25 month 300 minutes and unlimited internet/email/text/data free with it. The boost plan I use is also prepaid I get a 20 dollar card those minutes stay good for 90 days. Both have great coverage. Boost is part of nextel and uses their towers and VM is sprint and uses theirs.Stag Arms AR-15 - Remington 700 VTR - Ruger p90 - Colt Model 1908 - Winchester Model 94 - Mossberg 500A - Marlin 17HMR - Savage 22LR
