    WiFi Signal Booster/Extenders

Anyone have any experience with WiFi signal boosters? If so, how do they work, which one are you using, etc.

    Thanks!

Keep in mind with most small office\home office single channel wifi "repeaters", that clients connected to the repeater now have their throughput cut in half because the "radio" capacity is affected by each leg. Meaning it has to receive>transmit client and receive>transmit network access point for each transaction, per client. If it can be avoided by different design implementation or gear, you might consider doing that first.

Arranged a product review on this. It's an antenna, not a signal booster, so the improved performance is on the receiving end, not sending. Works very well on both Win (desktop) and Mac (laptop). Directional but very effective.

I vote as well to try an antenna first, if not you would need to get Apple base stations that allow you to extend your wireless network through out your house/business...I'm not aware of a 3rd party solution such as Belkin or whomever they may or may not have extended capable wi fi points.

AT&T Microcell, if you have AT&T.
