    dslextreme?

Do you use dslextreme as your provider? If so, how is their service?

    Thanks!

I too have been with them for years, and haven't need them for service.

The biggest problem with DSL Extreme is that they don't own the last-mile lines. So if you have a problem with the line, and it turns out to be in your house/condo/apartmen (and not in the telco's area of responsibility), they'll bill you for a service call.

On the plus side, they schedule said serivce calls and diagnostics, so you don't have to worry about it. But it does take a bit longer.

If you're looking for business DSL, I'd go with Speakeasy.

And....they have no loyalty to their long term customers. I bring them new customers through the normal course of my job. When I reached the end of my 2 year contract, you think they would give me access to the same promo deals they are offering new customers. But NO, they won't. I went back to AT&T because their pricing was cheaper.

My parents house has DSLExtreme. Good prices, but it takes a while to reach a technical person if you have issues. But, the service itself has been pretty solid.

If you can get Verizon Fios in your area it's the way to go. Their low speed service is 15/5, which is like a 1/3 of a T3 connection...more than we can usually tap.

I had them for a few years but their prices kept going up. I then went to verizon for a couple of years to get a better price. I'm now back at dslextreme. They let me sign up again as a new customer to get the $14.95 rate. Mark

I see their teaser rate is $14.95/m for the 1st year, but I can't find pricing for year 2 etc., What is it?

                      Thanks
