Minecraft... Who plays it?

I just bought it about a week ago and jumped on a server with some ARFcom guys.

Its freaking addicting.



It is kinds low end on the graphics but it really is addicting. Theres even.... wait for it..... ZOMBIES!!!!!!!

I play it. It's awesome. The low graphics are half the fun! I love finding big seams of gold or lapis lazuli even though I have no idea what to do with them.

I haven't played it much since it went into Beta, but played a ton in the past couple of months.

I went exploring and found this HUGE cave system and then dug ladder "elevators" to the surface from different parts of it. After awhile I got tired of having to run to the surface and then to my home/fort in the dark so I made a system of mine carts to take me from the storage area in the lower levels of the fort to the cave. I also added some mine cart boosters so I can ride the carts from the cave up to my base.

The game is so basic, but there's SO much you can do in it. I LOVE IT!

The only bad thing is it's a resource hog, so it doesn't run too well on my laptop. But it runs ok if I have the view distance at the minimal setting.

Guilty, I love sandbox games, gives me a chance to release my inner architect. If any one wants to play post some ip's and ill try to get on.

I was watching my friend play, and he installed an HD texture pack. It makes the graphics look amazing, ill try to get the name, but it is definitely something im going to install.

I finally broke free of Minecraft's grasp over me. My wife was getting a little irritated by me coming to bed between one and two in the morning

The problem I find with Minecraft is that I'll be doing something and then look at the clock and go "I've been building this ______ for 3 hours!? Ok, I'll just play for 15 more minutes then call it a day." then proceed to find something else to do and spend another 2 hours doing.

I do not play it personally but I have a few friends that do. One of them plays it every day from the time he gets home from work until he goes to bed. I don't know why people want better graphics. Its not about graphics its about the game play. Think Mario. One of the best games ever made. The graphics sucked when it came out. Anyways I have been debating on buying the game for a while. If you all did not know you can control everything that happens like turn night into day or turn off all the zombies and creatures. You can spawn anything you want in any number you want. You will crash the game if you spawn to many but I saw 1000 sheep spawned and it was alright.

I was playing on a public ARFcom server... BUT they changed some of the rules and people decided to steal all my tnt and blow stuff up...

Still lotsa fun though
