Can't get pdanet to work with MacBook Pro

Thanks to information gleaned from the group, I downloaded pdanet for my Blackberry and PC. I'm using it now rather than my work's wifi because sites like this are blocked.

Anyway, I've been trying to connect to the internet at home with my MacBook Pro and pdanet, but for some reason, pdanet doesn't open up the same way it does on my PC.

I've tried to download and install it a couple of times in the Mac, but it still doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm using a Blackberry Curve via Sprint. I bought the MacBook Pro last summer. It's a 12" with the Core Two Duo running 10.5.8. I have Parallels installed but haven't tried running pdanet as a PC. I may have to use that workaround if I have to. Thanks,

I haven't used PdaNet but this is what I've learned:

"To use WiFi mode you do not need anything installed on the computer end. To use USB mode, download the desktop client on Mac or Windows."

If you want wireless, I'd just have the Mac network prefs set to Automatic so it gets IP and DNS dynamically. As basic as it gets. It should look for the correct wireless network, the PdaNet.
