    Connectivity problems with iTunes

I have an iTunes account. I wanted to browse their store for a selection. It tells me I cannot access the iTunes store. Checked the "Hlep" function. Told me to try to connect to "http://www.apple.com". I cannot connect.

I also ran "ipconfig /flushdns" with no success.

Any ideas why I can't even access apple.com? My account shows all my purchases, but I cannot access the 'store'?!?
