Plug your head phones in and pull it out a couple times until it unjams. It just happens sometimes. -
The only way to fix that is to bend the stuck tab back into place. It's physically cutting the signal to the speakers. You should be able to get at it with a safety pin.Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace. -- James Madison

I really wish there was a way to force points in the operating system. Just like if you have ever had your Internet Explorer homepage locked you can go into the registry and unlock it by changing it from a 1 to a 0.
Is there a pill I can take to grow a third arm with a complete it hand? Because I can’t seem to hold the laptop & flashlight just right while maneuvering a sharp object.

Ok I pulled out the I/O board and no suprise the built speakers work.
But I don't want to go without being able to use head phones. Looking at the picture of the I/O board, does anyone know if I can break a conection that is for the auto detect? I.E. un-solder one of the pins?

All you have to do is break the contact that is supposed to be held in place by the headphone plug. As I said above this can be done with a safety pin.
